Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott Take Legal Action to Change Their Son’s Name

/ 09:13 AM March 17, 2023

Kylie Jenner and her husband, Travis Scott, filed a legal petition to change their son’s name from Wolfe Jacques Webster to Aire Webster.

The recent move follows the couples’ January announcement they would name their son Aire. Jenner and Scott explained they “regret the initial name choice of Wolf Jacques Webster.”

The legal docs read, “Now that Petitioners have had the chance to spend time with their baby, they believe the name Aire Webster is a better fit.’

Why did Kylie Jenner change his son’s name?

Kylie Jenner gave birth to Aire on February 2, 2022. He is Jenner’s and Scott’s second child. However, fans did not learn about it until February 6, when Jenner confirmed it via Instagram.

She posted a black-and-white photo of her son’s hand with the caption, “2/2/22,” referring to his birthdate. Days later, Kylie announced they named their new child Wolf.

Later, she shocked fans after saying she and Scott would scrap the name. She stated, “FYI, our [son’s] name isn’t Wolf anymore.”

“We just didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere,” the makeup mogul wrote.

However, Jenner and Scott did not disclose a replacement name immediately. Consequently, some people thought they were “having trouble” picking the right one.

The couple also kept their child’s face hidden on social media. Yet, Kylie Jenner said her son’s name was still Wolf during the Season 2 finale of The Kardashians in November 2022.

During a confessional episode, she said, “My baby’s name is still Wolf. I’ll let you guys know when I change it. Maybe I’ll tell you guys in Season 3.”

In December, the couple split up for the second time after rumors spread that Travis Scott cheated on Jenner with an Instagram model.

In January 2023, Kylie Jenner revealed her son’s face for the first time: “Aire.” However, people began pronouncing it as “airy.”

In response, she clarified people should pronounce it as “air.” The name means “Lion of God” in Hebrew, but others quickly pointed out another unfortunate meaning.

Fans said it was slang for “penis” in Arabic. One of them noted, “God help her if she comes to the Middle East.” Another said, “all my Lebanese people [are] wheezing right now.”
