Viewers have well-received his performances at past Oscars ceremonies, with his opening speeches often garnering critical acclaim.

Last year’s incident, however, cast a shadow over Rock’s appearance at the party. The infamous slap marred the awards ceremony, leading to Smith’s ban from attending the Oscars for a decade.

Because of his punishment, Will Smith had to relinquish the privilege of presenting the Best Actor award at this year’s event, despite winning it the previous year for his role in King Richard.

Oscar winners Halle Berry, 56, and Jessica Chastain, 45, instead presented the Best Actor in a Leading Role award to Brendan Fraser, 54, for his work in The Whale.

Chris Rock moved on

However, given the positive reactions to Rock’s appearance at the viewing party this year, the comedian has put the incident behind him.

He is now focusing on his work and continued success in the entertainment industry. Chris Rock’s attendance at the Oscars viewing party in Florida has been a welcome sight for fans and industry insiders.

While last year’s incident may have cast a shadow over his appearance, it is clear that the comedian is still as popular and well-respected as ever. He continues to perform and make audiences laugh.

The infamous slap was the center of many jokes at this year’s awards ceremony. The host, Jimmy Kimmel, said, “If any of you get upset at a joke and choose to get jiggy with it.”

He added, “It’s not going to be easy,” referencing a classic line from one of Smith’s hit songs.

Kimmel also joked that any potential perpetrator would have to get past a multitude of superheroes in the audience.

These include ‘the Fabel…man’ (Steven Spielberg), the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal), and Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield).

“There will be no nonsense tonight. We don’t have time for shenanigans,” he added.
