/ 09:10 AM February 27, 2023

UK Influencer Oli London previously transitioned to a Korean woman. Recently, he changed his mind and announced his upcoming memoir explaining what happened.

The upcoming book, “Detransition: A Memoir,” chronicles London’s journey from turning into a Korean transgender woman and reverting to a British man.

The announcement comes two years after declaring he identifies as “transracial” and four years of several significant cosmetic surgeries.

Who is Oli London?

Oli London was a British online influencer who struggled with gender identity. He first shocked the internet when he revealed his obsession with BTS member Jimin.

He underwent numerous surgeries to look like the Korean pop idol. Eventually, London said he was “transracial,” identifying as Korean instead of British.

He also posted a tweet on October 14, 2022, that asked everyone to respect his new pronouns: he, him, “kor,” and “ean.”

Consequently, it was jarring to see the transgender woman revert to being a man. Oli London said on Twitter, “I am no longer trans and have gone back to living as a man.”

He also posted a TikTok clip saying he was back to being a British man. Moreover, the UK personality said he would be coming to the Philippines.

He planned to “have a Filipino girlfriend, and get married, and have Filipino babies.”

London also apologized to the BTS member Jimin and the Asian community regarding his “transracial” remarks.

He pointed out past experiences that led to these actions and promised to improve as a person. Soon, he will release a book titled, “Detransition: A Memoir.”

Oli London stated, “I am looking forward to sharing an intimate look into my gender and self-identity struggles.”

“My book will offer a close look at trans ideology and give real-world examples of what pushes young people into transitioning, including the pressures of social media, the education system, the media, and the multi–billion dollar gender-affirming care industry.”

However, some Filipinos were not pleased with his statements. Inquirer correspondent Gelene Peñalosa said London was merely trying to become relevant again by appealing to Filipinos online.

She added, “This is when we should start de-platforming him and taking all relevancy away from him.”
