World Record Holder with Longest Tongue Uses It as Paintbrush
The man with the world record for longest male tongue recently showed off a peculiar skill — painting with it. Nick Stoeberl, who holds the record, has a tongue that’s 3.97 inches from tip to teeth.
Stoeberl revealed that he had discovered an unusual way to put his unique muscle to work: painting.
During his visit to the UK, which happens to be his first, he appeared on the “This Morning show,” where he showed off his unique painting skills.

The hosts, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, watched in awe and were quite shocked to see Stoeberl dip cling paint on his tongue to paint a portrait of them. “I should not be watching you do this. It feels very personal,” Holly jested.
When it was time to reveal his work, Stoeberl said, “It’s difficult to capture the beauty of you both, but I gave it my best.”
Holly laughed, saying, “I’m very small compared to Phil, almost like a little parrot on your shoulder.” “A little pea head,” Phil said jokingly.
While on the show, Stoeberl claimed he works for the American government but did not disclose the particular department.
He even went ahead to joke that “I may or may not be the outcome of a government experiment like The Hulk. So if I’m not careful, I may turn green.”
How Long is a Male Tongue?
The average male tongue measures about 3.3 inches, while the average female tongue is slightly shorter. Nick said he first realized his tongue was longer than normal when he used to stick it out at people in a jesting fashion.

And in high school, he was nicknamed Gene Simmons after the long-tongued KISS rocker. In an old YouTube video, Stoeberl disclosed that even though he found his rare gift fantastic.
He also found it uncomfortable when people repeatedly asked him to show off his lengthy tongue.
How it Feels to Have the Longest Tongue in the World
“I’ve always known I have a long tongue, just as you would if your hand was bigger. I found it quite useful on long road trips being in the back seat and sticking out my tongue [at people],” Stoeberl shared.
However, Stoeberl feels he is always at risk of “choking on his tongue while sleeping,” which is quite problematic. His tongue is so long he can lick his elbow, a feat classified as impossible to do by anyone.
Stoeberl has also made some money putting his unique gift to work. He has made up to $1200 from selling his paintings.
According to the Guinness World Records, when it comes to his art, Nick has given himself another nickname: Lickasso.
Stoeberl picked up the unusual hobby after watching a YouTube video of someone painting with his tongue and deciding to try it out for himself.
He still holds the record for longest tongue in a male after he clinched it back in 2012. The record for the longest tongue in a female is held by Chanel Tapper, measuring 3.8 inches.
