James Corden’s Final Curtain Call: ‘The Late Late Show’ to End Its Run
It might have come as a shock to most people when they heard that the popular CBS “The Late Late Show” host, James Corden, would be leaving in spring.
A Stephen Colbert-produced reboot of “@midnight” will take its place, Deadline reported on Tuesday.
Some people wonder how different the new show would be from “The Late Late Show.” But they might not have to anymore since “@midnight” aired on Comedy Central between 2013 and 2017.

One unique thing about the show was that it featured guests partaking in interesting games inspired by the internet, which most viewers considered fun. The original host, Chris Hardwick, won’t make a comeback, as Deadline reported.
Due to this surprising turn of events, host Colbert would have “another hour of the show.” A business outlet reported this without specifying the resources.
The first time “Late Late Show” aired, Tom Snyder was its host in 1995. Since then, Craig Kilborn and Craig Ferguson have hosted the show, respectively, before Corden. Corden, a very successful British comedian, took over in 2015.

When Corden announced he was leaving the show last April, people wondered who would be his replacement or what was next for the show and the comedian.
He told his audience, “When I started this journey, it was always an adventure. I never considered it as my final destination, you know? And I never want the show to overstay its welcome in any way. I always want to love making it.”
James Corden’s “The Late Late Show” mementos
Corden did add memorable “The Late Late Show” staples like “Crosswalk the Musical” and “Carpool Karaoke.” Some fans wonder if the decision has anything to do with the recent hit his PR took.
The comedian was recently in the spotlight for verbally abusing servers at Balthazar restaurant in Manhattan. Massive changes for late-night TV mark yet another period which includes his departure.
It is similar to the departure of Trevor Noah from “The Daily Show,” who made a surprise announcement last fall.

Noah, who, like Corden, is also a comedian, announced to his audience, which brought a lot of mixed reactions. Everyone loves Trevor Noah.
Especially when he makes jokes in his African accent, so it was regrettable to see him leave.
Another similar incident would be the end of the series: Full Frontal With Samantha Bee and Desus & Mero, which left fans wondering what might replace their beloved show. Who might be the new host, and if their show might be hit next if it doesn’t make the list?
Since all good things do end, the James Corden fans have no choice but to move on. They will now have to turn their attention to some other show.
The only mystery might be the circumstances that lead to the cutting of these shows or how out-of-the-blue the announcements come.
