Fil-Am women most toxic to date, TikTok users joke

/ 11:12 AM November 17, 2022

TikTok videos have gone viral for ranking which Asian American diaspora is most toxic in relationships, with Filipino American and Filipino Canadian women being consistently rated in the top “most toxic Asian girls” to date.

In one video, which received over 1.8 million views and 270 thousand likes, Toronto-based comedian Lisa Tran (@heybakedpotato on TikTok) rated Filipino American girls the most toxic. Afterwards, she ranked Vietnamese, Cambodian, Korean, Chinese, and Thai American women in order of most-to-least toxic. In the comments, viewers agreed with the ranking, with even other Filipinos jokingly agreeing with the ranking.

Another video by FilipinoAmerican TikTok user @notjeb rated Vietnamese American women as being most toxic, with Filipino-American women being a close second. He then ranked Filipino American women as a close second, followed by Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Cambodian, Laos, and Thai women.

@notjeb ESP viet girls in SJ but unfortunately they’re my type 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ IB: @Heybakedpotato #fyp #asian #bayarea #vietnamese #filipino ♬ original sound – SendAFriend ✨

Of course, both videos were made in good fun, simply pointing out the stereotypes of dating Filipino American women. Commenters poked fun in the video, with one user even writing, “Well at least I’m placing first in something finally.”
