Chris Evans is the new ‘Sexiest Man Alive’

Actor and Captain America now hold the Sexiest Man Alive title. People magazine gave him this badge of honor. The actor told People for its cover story, “My mom will be so happy. She’s proud of everything I do, but this is something she can really brag about.”  

Chris Evans was also prepared for all the teases he might get from close friends. He joked, “Really, this will just be a point of bullying. It’s ripe for harassment.” He was expecting to be teased by previous Sexiest Man Alive title holders and co-actors Paul Rudd, Chris Hemsworth, and Ryan Reynolds.

Moreover, the previous title holders include singers Adam Levine, John Legend, Idris Elba, Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum, Richard Gere, and soccer player David Beckham. 

Chris Evans’ first movie was in 2000, “The New Comers.” Then he played the role of Johnny Storm in two “Fantastic Four” movies in 2005 and 2007. His first breakthrough was after his first Marvel superhero role in “Captain America: The First Avenger” in 2011.

Since then, he played Captain America in 10 Marvel movies before exiting the franchise in 2019, “Avengers: Endgame.” Moreover, Evans also voiced Buzz Lightyear in Disney’s “Lightyear.” He also starred as an assassin trying to kill Ryan Reynolds in the Netflix movie,  “The Gray Man.”

In an interview with People magazine, the actor shared he’s thinking about marriage and having a family. He said, “That’s absolutely something I want.” Evans was also honest in saying that he won’t talk publicly too much about his private life. As he said, “Some things you want just for you, or just for my family and my friends.”

Aside from the fact that he deserves the title Sexiest Man Alive, Evans also loves dogs. In a Buzzfeed interview earlier this year, he sat down and adorably played with puppies. He also talked about the significance of adopting dogs. Evans once rescued and helped a dog named Dodger in 2017. 

Furthermore, part of his being sexy is his love for his mom. He usually brings his mom as his date to red carpets, and he even mentioned her when People magazine gave him the title. He thought of his mom Lisa first when he received the title. 

Chris Evans told  People, “My mom will be so happy. She’s proud of everything I do, but this is something she can brag about.” He also expects the Sexiest Man Alive title to be a milestone.

He added, “It’s something that as I become old and saggy, I can look back on and say ‘I remember then. I’m lucky to be in the discussion in any capacity,”
