The San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center is presenting Kultura Ng Balisong, featuring vintage and modern Batangas-made balisong (butterfly or fan knife) and the culture behind it in celebration of Filipino-American History Month.

All balisong flippers, enthusiasts, and families are welcome to learn all about the Filipino handmade balisong, the different ways to flip it, and the place where it originated — Taal, Batangas.

The official launch “Batangas to the Bay Area” exhibit, which includes Kultura Ng Balisong, is on Saturday, Oct. 22nd at 6 p.m. at San Francisco Cultural Center, 814 Mission Street.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their balisong trainers and come early to flip them.

The event is free but make sure to register at kulturangbalisong.org because tickets are limited.
