U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris announced Thursday, Sept. 29 she is going to visit the Philippines later this year.

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris announced Thursday, Sept. 29 she is going to visit the Philippines later this year.

Harris made the remark as she visited the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) separating North and South Korea after arriving in the South Korean capital.

Washington is working to strengthen ties with the administration of Ferdinand Marcos as part of its “pivot to Asia” to counter China’s growing power in the region.
