TFC Online chief will speak in key SF and LA media confabs
DALY CITY, California — Hundreds of top executives in film, television, music, home video, cable, telecommunications and computer industries are expected to attend Digital Hollywood and The TV of Tomorrow (TVOT), two of the most important conferences in media and entertainment in the U.S. ABS-CBN Head of TFC Online Enrique Olives will speak at both conferences this year.
Digital Hollywood Spring, on May 22-24, one of the annual conferences founded by Victor Harwood — a leading authority on the convergence of the entertainment and technology industries –- will be held at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, California.
On May 24 at Herscher Hall of the center, Olives will be part of the panel discussion on “Indie TV-OTT and Streaming – The Gateway to the Hollywood of Content to Phones, Tablets, TV and PC.”
During the Digital Hollywood Spring conference, The Influencer Awards, which celebrates cultural influencers in an expanding digital universe, will be held on May 22.
On June 13-14, the 12th annual TV of Tomorrow Show (TVOT) will take place at The Golden Gate Club in San Francisco’s famous Presidio National Park. Olives will be among the panelists for the sessions.
TVOT claims to consistently attract a veritable “who’s who” of the interactive/advanced-TV, MVPD, OTT-TV, advertising, broadcasting/programming, data/measurement, streaming-infrastructure, consumer-electronics and social-video industries.
The show, which is carefully designed to encourage networking and deal-making, has been widely praised for offering a uniquely inspiring, rewarding and enjoyable experience, unlike any other tradeshow or conference.
Moreover, over the past few years, TVOT has become the event of choice for established TV players to meet and network with the creative and business communities that have emerged on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Musical.ly, HQ and other social-video platforms to address the rapidly evolving viewing habits and programming preferences of Millennials and Gen Z.
Olives has 25 years of experience in business development and finance, having pioneered the launch of TFC Online in 2004 and the foray of ABS-CBN Global into launching its own Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) service in 2007. He served as Chief Financial Officer of SkyCable, the largest cable provider in the Philippines, from 1997-2000 and was Managing Director of ABS-CBN Japan from 2009 to 2013. Olives holds an MBA from Santa Clara University.
