‘Fotos de Oro’ in NY exhibits Filipino photographer’s prize winners
NEW YORK – “Fotos De Oro” an exhibition of selected Gold Medal, First Prize, and Best of Show winning works by internationally awarded photographer Carlos L. Esguerra opened recently at the Philippine Center at 556 Fifth Avenue, New York.
Esguerra is an international multi-awarded photography hobbyist and a retired business application software developer, who created business software for an international NGO based in Switzerland, United Nations agencies in Geneva and business corporations in the US. His collection of 20 photographs on exhibit were taken around the globe, with each one boasting a recognition.
Esguerra has been recognized by the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in 2011 known as “Ani ng Dangal” for Filipinos who have brought honor to the country by winning awards in the arts. He was earlier bestowed a “Pamana ng Pilipino” Presidential Award, the highest honor given by the President of the Philippines to Filipinos overseas who had excelled in their chosen fields of endeavor, among many other accolades. SPAA Announcement
Co-sponsor of the event, Society of the Philippine American Artists (GallerySPAA.org), joined by the Board and its Past President Lenore RS Lim, announced the 29th exhibition of the New York based art group at Philippine Center dubbed as “Reflections and Hope”, opening on October 31, 2022 until November 11, 2022.
