Police, mother renew call for info on missing Fil-Canadian girl
Saskatchewan’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police renewed calls for information on a missing 7-year-old girl believed abducted by her father, who didn’t want her to be vaccinated against Covid.
The RCMP and Sarah Jackson’s Filipina mother, Mariecar Jackson from Regina, Saskatchewan, have released a video pleading for help in finding the child who has been missing since November.
“Sarah, I am sorry it is taking so long for mommy to find you. I will do my best. I will never give up on searching for you,” Mariecar said in the video.
Sarah’s father, Michael Jackson, is wanted for abduction in violation of a parental custody order. A Canada-wide warrant was issued for 52-year-old Michael’s arrest in late January.
Mariecar, who has full custody of Sarah, said her ex-husband is hiding her daughter because he didn’t want the girl to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
“She is in grade two and loves to read,” Mariecar said in the video.“I hear from other parents that they love Sarah and her teachers have told me that she is a natural leader.”
RCMP is asking the public to share the video, tell others to do the same, as well as report tips anonymously.
Sarah Jackson is Filipino-Caucasian, four feet two inches tall, 76 pounds with waist-length brown hair that is all one length with no bangs. She has brown hazel colored eyes and last had teal colored eye glasses, that she wears most of the time.
Fifty-two-year-old Michael Gordon Jackson is five feet ten inches tall, 250 pounds with blue eyes and dark brown hair. He typically wears glasses.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Sarah or Michael Gordon Jackson are asked to call the Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP (7267) or (306) 780-5563.
Information can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1‐800‐222‐TIPS (8477).
