Contemporary artists to follow in 2022

/ 10:43 AM January 07, 2022

Contemporary art is generally of the definition as spanning the postwar period to the present day. It encompasses various styles, genres, and there are some tools to help you choose the best.

The art market is booming. 2021 turned record-high sales (Sotheby’s reported $7.3 billion). That total is 32 percent more than what the house made in 2020 when it reported $5.5 billion in sales.

Art is an amazing addition to any environment. It makes us feel good, it is essential for a great interior design, and it takes a lot of talent and years of hard work to create it. We keep hearing about paintings by Mark Rothko, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir being sold for hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars while remembering another high selling artist, Vincent van Gogh, who only sold one painting during his lifetime.

We see art everywhere. How many living artists profit from this great market? Why not look around for contemporary artists and buy original art, whether it’s a solid investment or not. Perhaps it will be one day.

“Artists” Magazine is one of the best tools to spot your new favorite living artist. This article will introduce you to three accomplished abstract artists worth keeping an eye on in 2022.

Alexandra Zecevic

Alexandra Zecevic

The Artists magazine selected Alexandra Zecevic as a second-place winner in the abstract art category with her acrylic painting “Raw Emotion’.

Carla O’Connor describes Alexandra’s winning piece, Raw Emotion – “At first glance, I imagined the sounds of tiny bells ringing all at once. This hypnotizing painting vibrates with patterns of warm and cool colors and large and small shapes. Every inch is packed with a secret message.”

Her work often explores the relationship between uncontrollable expression of feelings and wonderful techniques balancing brushstrokes of color on canvas.

Alexandra Zecevic is a contemporary artist working in an abstract direction mostly, acrylic paint and sculpting mediums on canvas being most favorite. Artworks by Zecevic can be found and purchased on her website. She has recently relocated to Florida.
