Report: Daly City most affordable place in California to buy a used car
SAN FRANCISCO — A just-released study by Autolist.com, its Fall 2017 quarterly rankings, reports that Daly City, California was the most affordable city in the state to purchase a used vehicle during the third quarter.
After analyzing 192 cities across its database, Autolist named the top 10 cities in the US (over 250k population):
- Miami, Florida
- New York, New York
- Tampa, Florida
- Newark, New Jersey
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Washington, DC
- Plano, Texas
- Buffalo, NY
- Jacksonville, FL
- Detroit, MI
Other highlights of the study included:
- The fastest selling used vehicle in Q3 was a hybrid – the Toyota Prius C – with an average time on market of 51 days. Another hybrid, the Chevrolet Volt, was the 3rd fastest selling vehicle at 54 days.
- While Florida maintained its #1 most affordable state nationwide, Georgia saw the largest movement in the state rankings, rising five spots to #11 overall.
- The most affordable vehicles in Q3 included the Ford Fusion, with prices averaging $283 below expectations; the Ram Pickup 2500, with prices $734 below expectations; and the Hummer H2, with prices $798 below expectations.
