The CDFI Fund was created to promote economic development and revitalization in America’s underserved and distressed low-income communities.

Through its programs and resources, the CDFI Fund supports real estate developments, businesses, health care facilities, workforce training centers and jobs in urban and rural areas across the county.

NAAC is a HUD-approved homeowner, small business and consumer advocacy organization serving the country’s 18 million Asian Americans, and the NDC is an organization of community organizers, faith-based leaders, nonprofit directors and business owners working collectively for greater financial equality and empowerment for underserved groups.

The organization works with corporate and government leaders to advocate for opportunities in homeownership, small business, and financial literacy for all groups.

Under both NDC and NAAC, Bautista advocates in the halls of Congress, in the California legislature and in front of key federal offices such as the Federal Reserve, Federal Trade Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission and among America’s Fortune 500 corporations, as a major voice for the Asian American community.

She is a member of the Office of Thrift Supervision Minority Depository Institutions Advisory Committee and sits on the Low-Income Oversight Board for the California Public Utilities Commission.

Bautista is the host of “Owning a Piece of America,” a television program that focuses on financial and consumer education, lifestyle and health education, and community and government relations.
