School releases film on Fil-Am teens’ ‘Filgrimage’ to PH
SAN DIEGO, California – San Diego-based The Filipino School kicked off its new digital series, “Filgrimage,” documenting local Fil-Am teens’ quest to find their identity and celebrate their roots.
It is “a transformational experience that connects the next generation of Filipino-Americans to their rich and proud heritage,” describes Tony Olaes, philanthropist, entrepreneur and co-founder of the Filipino School.
Released in October in honor of Filipino American History Month, the 14-part series, ‘Filgrimage,” is now streaming on TheFilipinoSchool.com, reports KUSI News.
The Digital Series is the first installment of a docu-style multi-episode digital series that tells the story of 8 young Fil-Ams who participated in a Filgrimage trip in July 2019. It shows the transformational journey of the Filgrimage participants as they visit various parts of their homeland. The project was made in partnership with The Filipino Channel.
