SF Manilatown Heritage Foundation to hold events online
SAN FRANCISCO — Manilatown Heritage Foundation will hold its 2020 events online, Caronline Cabading, executive director announced.
Before the pandemic most of the foundation’s community activities were held at International Hotel Manilatown Center in downtown San Francisco.
The rest of this year’s activities — Annual I-Hotel Eviction Commemoration; Club Mandalay PopUp Jazz Club; Kommunity Kultura traditional Philippine cultural education program and Manilatown Movie Time film screenings – will be offered via Zoom and Live Streaming
The foundation is also premiering “Remember, Recover, Reclaim” series of “Community Talk Stories on Filipino-American History” and launching the Manilatown Media project.
It also welcomed new board of directors President Eleanore Fernandez, who brings with her nearly 20 years of marketing, public relations, event planning, and community outreach experience to the organization. She has held various executive board positions, most notably as the Vice President of YFPA/Your Filipino Professionals Association for nearly ten years.
