SAN FRANCISCO — Media and community members are invited to a Kapihan via Zoom hosted by the Philippine American Press Club (PAPC)-USA on Friday, August 21 starting at 6 p.m.

According to the US Census Bureau and census advocates, it is important that everyone be counted as the results of the 2020 count determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding are distributed annually for the next decade to important programs and services in healthcare, infrastructure, emergency and disaster response and education for families, children and older adults.

Communities whose members do not fill out the Census forms risk losing critical benefits should funding allocated for their communities diminish.

Invited guests and resource speakers for the August 21 Kapihan include Teresa Ferrer, who is Partnership Specialist with the US Census; Hercules Mayor Roland Esquivias and Daly City Vice Mayor Juslyn Manalo, and Consul General Henry Bensurto, Jr. of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco.
