Fil-Am cop dies in fiery car crash in Florida

TAYLOR COUNTY, Florida — A Filipino American law enforcement officer from Safety Harbor, Florida, died in fiery crash on Tuesday morning, June 6. on U.S. Highway 19.
Florida Highway Patrol reports that Joshua Montaad, 25, was driving north on U.S. 19 during a rainstorm when he lost control of his 2007 Ford Expedition.
Montaad’s SUV went off the road, hit a tree caught fire and was engulfed by flames. Montaad was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was a law enforcement officer with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement.
