‘Fil-Am Comedy Slam’ coming to Oceanside, Calif. June 10

OCEANSIDE, California — An evening of continuous laughs will be held at the Muramid Museum and Art Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10 with FilAm Comedy Slam.

Rising comedy stars will tickle the funny bone: Eli Nicolas, Oliver Bascos, Randy Villarba, Barbara Thomason, Vince Royale, a special appearance from Bruno Barz, music from DJCY. The evening will be hosted by the Pi Nu Psi Sorority.

Barbara Thomason fits well in Oceanside’s military town, as a “half-Filipino, half-Hillbilly,” performing improv and stand-up comedy from San Diego to Portland.

Randy Villarba is seen at various Western US comedy clubs, bars and hosts a stand-up comedy night at JP’s Pub in San Diego.

The FilAm Comedy Slam host Oliver Bascos is an upbeat comic powerhouse, having hosted the “Comedy Grit/Comics Battle” and took 1st place winner at the Kumite Comedy.

All-star standup comedian Eli Nicolas will delight comedy enthusiasts with his energetic stage presence, unique voice, amusing tales of global travels and cultural family diversity. Nicolas connects audiences from all walks of life with his cleverly woven comedy material, allowing him to grace international stages including the Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, Improv and a national television debut on FOX’s show “Laughs.”

Multitalented Vince Royale, “the class clown” has an uncanny talent for creating world class rapper who migrated to the United States as a teen from Manila, Philippines, and perfected his English through gangster rap with the “Thrilla from Manila.”

Audiences will enjoy one special night and only one show on June 10th with a­ star-studded standup cast at the FilAm Comedy Slam at the Muramid Museum and Art Center in Oceanside’s Artist Alley. Tickets are available for $15 to $25, and “2-For” rapper who migrated to the United States as a teen from Manila, Philippines, and perfected his English through gangster rap with the “Thrilla from Manila.”
