Huge Fil-Am Expo in Metro-DC being planned for next year
WASHINGTON — Plans are underway for a two-day 2020 Fil-Am Expo in Metropolitan DC which will feature arts, cultural presentations, Filipino food, Philippine crafts and products, and non-stop musical entertainment by top performers.
The Philippine American Chamber of Commerce (PACC-DC) is spearheading the event to be held at the Dulles Expo Center, 4320 Chantilly Shopping Center, Chantilly, Virginia.
“This marks the beginning of an unparalleled future of creative collaboration between PACC-DC, the members of the Fil-Am community at-large, and the (DC-Maryland-Virginia) community in general,” says PACC-DC President Cristina Sison.
“Powered by our renewed vision and conviction to develop and strengthen Filipino American businesses, we aim to bring the Fil-Am community together in a unifying cultural celebration as we showcase Filipino American excellence in business, the arts, community development, education, entertainment and much more,” Sison adds.
With 91,000 registered Filipino Americans in the DC Metropolitan area, as well as over 100 Filipino-owned businesses, the Expo is expected to be the largest Filipino event in the region.
“This engagement can only be made possible through extraordinary partnerships with business owners and community members like you,” explains Sison.
Organizers are inviting the participation of sponsors and exhibitors and offering them the opportunity to represent their organization or business. About 10,000 people are expected to attend this inaugural celebration.
