Leonardo DiCaprio was born on November 11, 1974. He is Italian and German. His mother was pregnant and looking at a Leonardo da Vinci painting in France when she first felt Leo’s kick in her belly. Leonardo’s parents split up when he was very young. He spent most of his time with his mother. His mom worked many jobs so they could survive. He eventually dropped out of high school and got his GED. He spent a lot of time in Germany with his maternal grandparents.

Leonardo’s career started at an early age. First, he was kicked off of Romper Room for being unruly and disruptive. This was in 1979.
He was in several commercials and educational films. When he was 14 years old, he was in a commercial for Matchbox cars.

Then one day he received word that he was cast in the television cast of Parenthood.
Leonardo was nominated for two awards, he earned nominations for both shows. One was for best actor in a daytime series and best young actor in a television series.

This was very early in his career, however, things began to get better for him as time progressed.
He was in one episode of Roseanne. Followed by a fiction horror movie, Critters 3. He played the stepson of an evil landlord.
