Texas ex-cop nabbed for trying to have Filipina wife and friend killed
SAN FRANCISCO — A former Houston, Texas police officer was arrested for conspiring to pay $500 to have his estranged Filipina wife and her friend kidnapped, sexually assaulted and killed, police in Pasadena, Texas reported.
The suspect, Clarence Michael McNatt, was arrested Nov. 30. Authorities in early November learned that McNatt was trying to hire somebody to kill his estranged wife, MaryGrace, and her friend Marivic Milton, also a Filipina.
McNatt suspected that his wife left him to have an extramarital relationship with Milton, according to detectives.
McNatt had worked as a law enforcement officer in the 1980s and 1990s for three different agencies, including the Houston Police Department.
Two undercover Pasadena police officers, who posed as contract killers, say McNatt agreed to pay $500 in exchange for the kidnapping, sexual assault and murder of the two women, according to an ABC13.com report.
McNatt produced $100 and three gold rings as payment for the undercover officers’ services, police say. In McNatt’s vehicle, authorities located various devices that they believe McNatt wanted to use to torture the victims.
Marivic Milton denied having a romantic relationship with MaryGrace McNatt, telling news media that they were just friends.
McNatt has been charged with conspiracy to commit capital murder and two counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping with intent to commit sexual assault. He is currently being held in Harris County Jail without bond.
