UP Streetdance Club lands in top 3 of global competition in California

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The UP Streetdance Club made a strong showing on the world stage, finishing in the top three of the Team Division at the 2026 World of Dance Summit in Anaheim, California.
The University of the Philippines-based dance crew placed second in the Championship Round before securing third place in the World Finals.

“Massive congratulations to UP Street Dance Club as they bagged both 2nd and 3rd place in the Championship Round and World Finals respectively,” World of Dance Philippines said in announcing the team’s achievement.
UP Street Dance Club competed against elite dance teams from around the world at the four-day global championship, held July 7 to 10 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
2026 World of Dance Summit
World of Dance describes the Summit as its global championship bringing together top dancers from across its international competition network.
The international podium finish adds to a banner year for the UP dancers, who in May defended their UAAP street dance crown.
UP Streetdance Club was among several dance groups that carried the Philippine flag at the World of Dance Summit.
Among the Philippine contingent were Onset, DanSSA, AdHIKa, T-Mates and the Vicentinian Maraynon Dagyaw Theatre, or VMDT, with teams competing across different divisions at the global event. World of Dance Philippines and the groups had earlier highlighted their trips to Anaheim to represent the country.
