Immigrant stories book launch, Filipino textile exhibit in Honolulu

HONOLULU — The book Pinay: Culture Bearers of the Filipino Diaspora will be launched Thursday, March 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hawaii State Library, 478 South King Street, First Floor Reading Room. It is a collection of stories by  immigrant women from all age groups.

Also at the Hawaii State Library from March 9 to 25 is an exhibit “Baro at Habi: Visual Clues to Filipino Culture, textile and clothing by Big Island artist Iris Viacrusis.
