BTS’ ‘Dynamite’ hits 2 billion views on YouTube

During the height of the global pandemic, millions around the world found comfort in dancing and singing along to BTS’ chart-topping hit “Dynamite.” Fast forward four years later, the track continues to make history.
The music video for the group’s first full English-language single has now crossed the two-billion views milestone on YouTube and this becomes the first visual from the band to achieve the feat.
Released in August 2020, the upbeat track not only lifted spirits during an uncertain time but also became a career-defining moment for BTS.
Upon release, “Dynamite” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated Sept. 5, 2020 and spent three consecutive weeks at the top.
The record also cements the K-pop supergroup’s legacy as the first Asian boy band in history to surpass two billion YouTube views with a single song. Beyond YouTube, it is also the first Asian act to hit two billion streams on Spotify.
Other BTS hits continue to climb high numbers as well with “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey racking up 1.8 billion views, “DNA” at 1.6 billion, Steve Aoki’s MIC Drop remix at 1.5 billion and fan favorites like “Idol,” “Fake Love,” “Butter” and “Blood Sweat & Tears” all crossing the billion mark.
While Dynamite celebrates its new milestone, the group is already preparing for its next chapter. All seven members, now completed with their mandatory military service, recently reunited in Los Angeles to begin work on their highly anticipated 2026 comeback album.
Charlie Puth was even spotted at one of their studio sessions, adding more fuel to fan speculation about possible collaborations.
BTS members have also teased what’s ahead. J-Hope assured fans during a Weverse livestream that they are all working hard and staying healthy in preparation for what’s coming.
Meanwhile, Jimin excitedly told fans, “Hey guys, we are back,” hinting at not just an album but also a world tour that will reunite ARMYs globally for the first time since their “Permission to Dance on Stage” concerts.
The comeback will mark BTS’ first group release since 2020’s BE, promising a new era filled with music, performances and the long-awaited return of the world’s biggest boy band to one stage.
