Bianca Bustamante set for Formula E women’s test in Spain

Filipino American racing star Bianca Bustamante is set to make another milestone in her motorsport career as she joins the FIA Formula E Women’s Test in Valencia, Spain, on Oct. 31.
The rising driver confirmed the news through an Instagram post, where she expressed pride in carrying her name and the Philippine flag on the international stage.
Personal mission and tribute
“Do it for your country, do it for your name,” she captioned, signaling both a personal mission and a tribute to her roots.
Bustamante further shared her excitement about being part of the test with the Koiranen Kemppi Racing family Kiro Race Co, with whom she has been working since the rookie test at the close of Formula E’s Season 11.

Reflecting on the journey, the young driver said her collaboration with the team has been a rewarding experience that has allowed her to continuously grow.
She noted that she is eager to push her development further while also helping the team prepare for Season 12 machinery. “I’m sure the team will take another step forward and I look forward to getting to work and contributing towards the coming season,” she added.
Bustamante’s post radiated optimism, capped with her trademark energy as she shouted, “Lettttts gooooo!!!.”
Making history as a 20-year old Filipina
At just 20 years old, Bustamante has already built a reputation as one of the Philippines’ most promising motorsport athletes, making history as the first Filipina to compete in international racing series such as F1 Academy.
Beyond the racetrack, Bustamante has also opened up about the struggles that come with her pursuit of excellence. In an Instagram post, the 20-year-old offered an emotional glimpse into the physical hurdles she faces as a petite athlete in a demanding sport.
Standing at 5’2” and weighing 53 kilograms, she explained how her size often complicates her cockpit fit, from the distance to the steering wheel and pedals to the need for extra foam adjustments in her seat.
