Fil-Am Jet Hammond flies high as Miss Utah USA 1st runner-up

True to her tagline “Jet Set USA, Jet Set Universe,” Filipino American beauty queen Jet Hammond soared gracefully through the Miss Utah USA pageant and came remarkably close to clinching the crown.
The 26-year-old stunner, who previously made waves representing Southern California in Miss Universe Philippines 2024, took to social media to reflect on her experience: “Still soaking in the moment… 1st Runner-Up at Miss Utah USA 2025,” she wrote. “This journey has been nothing short of transformative. It wasn’t a smooth ride – but I shine in both success and struggle.”

Hammond’s words spoke of quiet resilience and elegance. “Competing here reminded me that strength can be quiet, elegance can be bold, and purpose always outshines pressure,” she added.
The pageant contender also extended her heartfelt thanks to her family, team, and the Miss Utah USA organization, adding, “To every young woman watching– know this: you don’t need a crown to claim your power. You just need courage to begin.”

While she didn’t take home the top title, Hammond is far from grounded.
“The Jet may not have landed the title this time, but she’s still flying. Sometimes, second chances are just the universe’s way of preparing you for your next flight,” she concluded in her post, referencing her final answer to the pageant’s question-and-answer portion.
Born in the Philippines, Jet migrated to the US at 17 and has since navigated both the American and Filipino pageant scenes with grace and determination. Her past achievements include placing in the Top 16 at Miss California USA 2024 and becoming a finalist in both the National Costume and Swimsuit categories at Miss Universe Philippines 2024.
Beyond pageantry, Jet is a married woman with a flourishing career and deep ties to pageant royalty. Her sister, Jennifer Hammond, is a former Binibining Pilipinas – Intercontinental 2016.
