Filipino British gymnast Jake Jarman has once again proven he’s a force on the vault, clinching the silver medal at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships.  But with his growing collection of medals, it seems he may have finally outgrown his room for it.

The 23-year-old vaulted to a silver medal at the 2025 edition, narrowly missing out on gold. His first vault was nearly flawless, drawing praise for its execution and control.

However, his second vault lacked the same sharpness, leaving him with an average score of 14.733, just shy of Armenian gymnast Artur Davtyan’s 14.799. Ukraine’s Nazar Chepurnyi finished with 14.583 for the bronze.

It’s yet another podium finish for Jarman, who had previously secured European vault gold in both 2022 and 2024. But while most athletes celebrate new medals with pride and display, the Fil-Brit athlete is now facing a different kind of challenge: He’s officially out of space to store them.

Taking to his Instagram broadcast channel, the Olympian shared a photo of his latest medal with a cheeky update:

“Feels like I have just competed in AA (I only ran down the vault twice). I’ve run out of space for my medals. I don’t think the curtain rail can hack anymore medals and my shelves are full. Need a bigger room xx.”

Jarman joked that he may have to settle for a photo collage of all his medals and tape it to the wall instead. He also humorously warned that if he adds any more medals to the shelf above his bed, he might wake up to a “massive headache” from a shelf collapse – “Yk, cos of the weight.”

Despite feeling some frustration over his performance, telling the BBC he had “mixed emotions” and was “more frustrated at myself,” Jarman said he was still “really happy” overall.

His vaults remain world-class, and so does his medal count. If there’s one thing Jarman has proven, it’s that he doesn’t just need a bigger room, he might need an entire trophy wing.
