Rising Filipino Canadian pop punk sensation Mico has reached a new milestone in his career, as every date on his “Internet Hometown Hero” tour has officially sold out, prompting an extension of the global trek.
The successful tour, which has spanned across Europe, the UK and the United States in early 2025, is a testament to the explosive growth of the young singer-songwriter, born Miguel Veloso.
The tour began on Feb. 8 in Paris, and took Mico through cities including London, Amsterdam, Cologne and Berlin – all of which were marked as sold out.
“The ‘Internet hometown hero’ world tour* has been extended,” Mico wrote, announcing that additional tickets will be available soon. “these last few tours have been some of my favourites so far; while i prepare the next chapter for MICO, i’m so excited to continue sharing the current story with even more of you <3.”

In an Instagram update, Mico revealed that the entire “Internet Hometown Hero” tour had officially sold out and shared his gratitude to his fans, the Amicos and called the project a “labour of love from everyone involved.”
Mico expressed how eager he was to begin the shows, saying he couldn’t wait to finally share what he and his team had been working hard on. He emphasized that none of this would have been possible – or even worth pursuing – without the encouragement and loyalty of his fans.
“I can’t wait to see and hear how much love you have for it in person very soon,” he added, looking ahead to the live experience.
Mico’s musical journey began humbly on platforms like SoundCloud and Discord, where he gradually built a close-knit community of listeners. Growing up in a Filipino household, he was constantly surrounded by OPM classics, which helped shape his early appreciation for music.
Over time, he evolved his sound by blending those influences with the energy of pop punk – citing bands like Marianas Trench and 5 Seconds of Summer as key inspirations.
Now, with a sold-out tour and a growing global fanbase, Mico is no longer just an internet favorite as he’s becoming a real-life hometown hero.
