Reunited and feeling so “Bublé,” Sofronio Vasquez – the Tawag ng Tanghalan alum and newly crowned “The Voice” Season 26 champion – caught up with none other than his coach and mentor, international crooner Michael Bublé.
The meeting comes months after the Misamis Occidental native made history as the first Filipino and Asian winner of the American singing competition.

On Instagram, the proud Pinoy artist shared a photo from their “very productive lunch,” radiating the same charm that made audiences fall in love with him onstage.
“Had a very productive lunch with the man himself @michaelbuble. We skipped dessert because we are on diet LOL,” he wrote with playful honesty.
But the cuteness didn’t stop there. In a follow-up video, the pair acted out a fun skit where Bublé pretended he “forgot his wallet.” Vasquez, quick with the wit, captioned it: “This man can’t lie to a Filipino. I got you BUBLIE.”

Fans couldn’t get enough of their undeniable chemistry with one user commenting “Dynamic duo right there!” with one saying, “Lol you guys add so much joy to my day.”
With his powerful voice and warm personality, Vasquez is taking Filipino pride across the globe. He’s set to headline the “BRAVO! Voices of the Filipino” US concert tour this May alongside powerhouse vocalists Jed Madela, Bituin Escalante and Lyka Estrella, the grand champion of “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”
The tour kicked off on May 9 at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, followed by performances in Anaheim (May 11), Redwood City (May 16) and San Leandro (May 18).
“From the grandest concert halls to the most prestigious competitions, these performers have brought honor to the country through their exceptional voices, unmatched stage presence and compelling artistry,” the description reads.
“Bravo! is a night of standing ovations, unforgettable performances and the ultimate recognition of Filipino musical excellence.”
