Filipino American pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo had a good time in Mexico City the past week, not only delivering her biggest solo concert to date but also immersing herself in the local culture — with a surprise visit to a Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) event.

As part of her stop in the Mexican capital, the “Guts” hitmaker shared glimpses of her experience on Instagram. One of the snapshots showed the “Drivers License” songstress enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of a lucha libre match, which appears to have taken place at Arena Coliseo during CMLL’s Aniversario Arena Coliseo event on April 5.

Alongside the photo, she captioned, “mexico city! my first stadium and my first hot air balloon. one of my fav weeks ever. muchas gracias.”

The Fil-Am Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter’s trip wasn’t just about sightseeing. She hit a career-defining moment on stage at Estadio GNP Seguros, performing to a sold-out crowd of 65,000 fans — her largest audience yet. The record-breaking concert surpasses the 50,000-strong crowd she drew in the Philippines last October.

The massive venue in Mexico City was brimming with energy as Rodrigo poured her heart out in song, visibly moved by the scale of support.

“Do you guys know that this is the biggest show that I’ve ever played in my f—ing life?! I literally… My eyes can’t believe it. Oh my God! Thank you guys so much for being here,” she exclaimed, her voice echoing across the stadium.

Just weeks prior, Rodrigo also turned heads during another electrifying international appearance. Taking the stage as a headliner at Lollapalooza Chile on March 21, the 22-year-old dazzled audiences at Santiago’s Parque Bicentenario de Cerrillos in a bold leather bodysuit adorned with lace, sequins and dramatic cut-out details.

She further thrilled fans with her chart-topping anthems and delighted many with a nostalgic twist with a surprise cover of No Doubt’s 1995 hit “Don’t Speak.”
