Filipino American singer Jessica Manalo may have ended her journey on “The Voice,” but for her, it’s far from the end of the road.

The Las Vegas-based artist, who was part of Team Kelsea Ballerini, took to Instagram to express her gratitude and reflect on her time in the competition.

“I apologize that I haven’t really been responsive on socials! I do, however, want to thank everyone for all of the love and support that I have received these past couple of months. I do read every single comment and I’m grateful for you,” Manalo wrote.

Although her run on the show has ended, she described it as the beginning of a new chapter. “I don’t know what’s going on in the planets, but life’s been for sure testing me, especially at this moment. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds for me,” she added.

Her stint on the show was nothing short of memorable. Manalo turned heads during her blind audition with a powerful rendition of Sam Smith’s “Unholy.” The performance immediately caught the attention of two celebrity coaches – Michael Bublé, who had previously mentored the competition’s first Asian and Filipino winner Sofronio Vasquez and Kelsea Ballerini. Both quickly pressed their buttons after hearing her hit the chorus, signaling their desire to work with her.

While she may not have made it to the finals, Manalo described her experience as transformative. “I’ll also never forget what an incredible experience I had on the show, meeting the people I met and discovering new parts of me that have always been there, but I was always scared to show. I’ve always been bold… but I think The Voice made me a little less fearful of almost anything,” she shared.

Fans rallied behind her, flooding her social media with messages of support. Reflecting on the experience, she expressed love for her community, family and friends who stood by her throughout her journey.

“Just know that I love my community and my family and friends that have always embraced me and always believed in me. Til the next adventure. – Jess,” she wrote.
