“Superb performance from Lisa,” a fan commented on X (formerly Twitter).
Taking the Oscars stage and making history, Blackpink Lisa became the first-ever K-pop artist to perform at the prestigious ceremony.
The global superstar, who recently released her album “Alter Ego,” mesmerized the audience at the 97th Academy Awards, held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, as part of a tribute to the legendary James Bond film franchise.

Draped in a sleek black gown, the K-pop idol commanded the spotlight with a performance of “Live and Let Die,” the iconic 1973 James Bond theme originally sung by Paul McCartney and Wings.
Joining her for the tribute were British singer Raye and American rapper Doja Cat, each bringing their own flair to the celebration of Bond’s cinematic legacy.
Following Lisa’s historic act, Doja Cat delivered a sultry rendition of “Diamonds Are Forever,” made famous by Dame Shirley Bassey, while Raye captivated the audience with her performance of Adele’s “Skyfall.”
Their Oscars stage moment came just weeks after collaborating on “Born Again,” Lisa’s latest single from her debut solo album “Alter Ego.”
In an Instagram post, Lisa reflected on her solo journey, expressing gratitude to her team: “Celebrating ALTER EGO. It’s been a long and crazy ride to get here, and I could not have done it without you all. Thank you RCA, LLOUD, and all the producers/writers/engineers who spent sleepless nights in the studio to make this happen. Love you all.”
For those new to “Alter Ego,” the album introduces five distinct personas – Roxi, Kiki, Vixi, Sunni and Speedi – each showcasing a different side of Lisa’s artistry.
Before “Born Again,” she had already released “New Woman,” “Moonlit Floor” and “Rockstar” – all of which highlighted her evolution as a solo performer.
With her groundbreaking Oscars performance and ever-expanding creative ventures, the Thai superstar continues to redefine the global music scene and proves that her influence extends far beyond K-pop.
