Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce knows exactly where to turn when he’s feeling down – her girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
The Kansas City Chiefs star recently opened up about how his superstar girlfriend and Grammy-award winning artist has helped him through tough times, especially after heartbreaking losses on the field.
In the Feb. 26 episode of his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his older brother Jason Kelce, the topic of handling post-game emotions came up.
Jason asked if Travis listens to “sad music” when he’s feeling low, particularly after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Travis further reflected on how music plays a big role in his emotions.
“Jason, the only way you can find yourself in the light is to find yourself in the dark first,” he said. “I listen to music that is very telling of my mood.”
Jason admitted that he leans toward “sad country songs: during down moments, but Travis had a different go-to artist.
“I just listen to Taylor’s music,” he revealed. “She has something for everything.”
His brother quickly agreed, noting that the “Cruel Summer” singer’s vast catalog offers a song for every emotion. “That’s fair, that’s a good point,” Jason said.

Travis even injected some humor into the conversation, joking, “And how the Eagles broke my heart.”
The star has been more than just a musical comfort for Kelce as she’s been by his side through the highs and lows of the NFL season.
Earlier this month, the “So High School” songstress showed her unwavering support for Kelce by attending the Super Bowl at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, cheering him on from the stands.
Even in tough moments, it’s clear that Swift’s presence – both through her music and in real life – brings a sense of warmth and encouragement to the NFL star.
