Golden Globes presenters announced: Elton John, Glenn Close and more

LOS ANGELES – Elton John, Glenn Close and Sharon Stone are part of the lineup of presenters for the 82nd annual Golden Globes Awards, it was announced Thursday.

The Golden Globes are scheduled for Sunday at 5 p.m. and will be broadcast on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the United States.

The Golden Globes will be hosted by comedian and actress Nikki Glaser, who makes history as the first woman to host the awards show on her own.

Other presenters announced are Andrew Garfield, Anthony Mackie, Anthony Ramos, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ariana DeBose, Aubrey Plaza, Auli’i Cravalho, Awkwafina, Brandi Carlile, Catherine O’Hara, Colin Farrell, Colman Domingo, Demi Moore, Dwayne Johnson, Édgar Ramírez, Gal Gadot, Jeff Goldblum, Jennifer Coolidge, Kaley Cuoco, Kate Hudson, Kathy Bates, Ke Huy Quan, Kerry Washington, mMargaret Qualley, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Keaton, Michelle Yeoh, Miles Teller, Mindy Kaling, Morris Chestnut, Nate Bargatze, Nicolas Cage, Rachel Brosnahan, Rob McElhenney, Salma Hayek Pinault, Sarah Paulson, Seth Rogen, Sharon Stone, Vin Diesel, Viola Davis and Zoe Kravitz.

“Emilia Pérez” leads in the film categories with 10 nominations, followed by “The Brutalist,” with seven nominations, andConclave,” with six. 

“The Bear” leads in the television categories with five nominations, followed by “Only Murders in the Building” andShōgun,” with four nominations each.

There are 26 first-time nominees this year, including Adam Brody, Ariana Grande, Anna Sawai, Dakota Fanning, Glen Powell, Hiroyuki Sanada, Kathryn Hahn, Pamela Anderson and Zoe Saldaña.

Award-winning producing duo Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment (WCE) will return as executive producing showrunners for the 82nd Annual Golden Globes, often referred to as “Hollywood’s Party of the Year.”

Dick Clark Productions will plan, host and produce the event, which has been viewed in more than 185 countries and territories worldwide. (With CNS report)
