Nonprofit launches ‘United Against Cancer ‘19 Swimwear Calendar’

SAN BRUNO, California — A non-profit dedicated to breast and ovarian cancer awareness will launch the “United Against Cancer 2019 Swimwear Calendar” for its annual fundraiser and awareness drive on Dec. 1, at 5 p.m. in Burlingame Masonic Hall at 145 Park Road, Burlingame.

Share+Give Initiative’s calendar features breast and ovarian cancer survivors, models and advocates from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Japan, USA and the Philippines.

Share+Give Initiative is a non-profit founded in 2017 by fashion designer Gia Galicia-Carrascoso, who produces fashion shows and other projects to help organizations raise funds for breast and ovarian cancer patients, children in foster care and medical mission outreach.

Featured fashion designers at the calendar launch are Colleen Quen (a breast cancer survivor), Renee Gee, Haydée Quesedo Castillo, Rolando Carlin and Gia Galicia. The swimwear models are advocates and cancer survivors themselves.

Filipino American songbird, Maddie B, and breast cancer survivor Annette Velasco are featured entertainers.

Miss Asian Global 2017 Trisha Bantigue, and Radi Calalang, SF Kalayaan chair, will emcee. All (100%) of the calendar’s proceeds will benefit breast and ovarian cancer foundations including the Pilipino Senior Resource Center Breast Cancer Support Services Program.

The calendar launch is presented in cooperation with the Rotary Club Daly City/Colma, PSRC, FilAm Star, TFC, Inquirer.net, Asian Journal, Philippine American Press Club-USA and CKO+ Media.
