Korean TV shows coming to Netflix in 2025: ‘Squid Game 3′ and more
Netflix is ringing in the new year with an exciting slate of Korean dramas and shows.
The streaming giant recently unveiled its January schedule on its official Netflix Korea account, teasing fans with the caption, “Happy New Year from Netflix, new releases in January that are coming out sooner than the first year of 2025.”
On Jan. 1, 2025, “Sprint: Part 2” will be released. According to Netflix, the second installment of “Sprint” will reveal what happened before, during and after the Summer games.
The highly anticipated “Squid Game” is set to make another return with its third season, confirmed for release in 2025.
While fans eagerly await the conclusion of season two on Dec. 26 to find out which characters will continue their perilous journey, speculation is already swirling about the twists that might come next.
The platform’s collaboration with SBS is also making waves. This strategic partnership, announced on Dec. 20, also brings a mix of new and beloved SBS dramas, entertainment and educational programs to the Netflix catalog.
Among the most awaited releases is “Universe League,” a K-pop survival show launching on Jan. 4, 2025. The show is now currently showing on Viu with five episodes as of writing.
Fans across the globe are especially thrilled by the inclusion of JL, the only Filipino idol and member of P-pop group PLUUS.
JL’s set of performances and top-ranked position in the show have made him a standout contender since the very first episode.
