Olivia Rodrigo donates $2 million to global charities empowering women
Filipino American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo has long been a passionate advocate for reproductive rights, and her recent actions reflect her commitment to social good.
The Grammy-winning artist has pledged over $2 million from the net proceeds of her GUTS World Tour to charities dedicated to empowering women and girls globally. These funds will be channeled through Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good, an initiative focused on fostering equity and justice.
Beneficiaries include organizations such as the National Network of Abortion Funds in the US, Women Against Violence Europe and Harmony House Limited in Hong Kong.
Other recipients span the globe, including Aidha in Singapore, the Korea Foundation for Women and NPO Women’s Saya-Saya in Japan, each addressing critical challenges unique to their regions.
Fund 4 Good prioritizes community-based nonprofits tackling issues like girls’ education, reproductive health and gender-based violence prevention.
Among its key beneficiaries is Jhpiego in the Philippines, a global health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University. Since 1980, Jhpiego has been working to improve the lives of women and girls in underserved and conflict-affected areas of the country.
Jhpiego’s work focuses on adolescent and youth health, family planning, reproductive rights, gender equity and the prevention of women’s cancers.
Their initiatives further aim to improve access to reproductive health services, strengthen maternal and child care and provide local healthcare providers with essential training to ensure high-quality care.
It’s a known fact that Rodrigo’s sold-out concert at the Philippine Arena – the world’s largest indoor arena – was a personal highlight of her tour and her first visit to the country.
Proceeds from the affordable ticket pricing, capped at under $30 inclusive of fees, were directly allocated to support Jhpiego’s transformative initiatives.
