The recently concluded Mister World 2024 pageant, held in Vietnam, saw Bondad make it to the top 20 semi-finalists.

This was an easy entry for the model and actor, as he had been at the top in pre-pageant activities, standing out among some of the other contestants.

However, when the coronation night arrived, the results didn’t go in his favor. Despite this, Bondad took the outcome with grace, embracing the journey with gratitude.

In an Instagram post, he shared his emotions with his followers. “Well, this didn’t go as planned… My time here in Vietnam has been an indescribable ride. My placement wasn’t what I aimed for, and honestly, I’m still not sure where things went off track. Right now, I feel empty on all ends. But I know I gave it my all, and that’s what matters,” he wrote.

For him, Mister World isn’t just about physical appearance as the competition seeks the “Most Desirable Man,” focusing on personality, skills and the ability to inspire others.

The Filipino candidate, acknowledging this, humbly shared his perspective: “If I were to determine who fits that mold best, I’d be called a judge.”

He thanked his family, friends, and supporters, expressing how their belief in him gave him the strength to persevere: “To my family, friends, and supporters everywhere—thank you for believing in me and cheering me on. Your support gave me the strength to push through my limits.”

He concluded his post with a reminder that life’s journey is full of unexpected turns, and the key is to keep moving forward with resilience: “Life has unique ways of guiding us to places we’re meant to be, so, chest high, back straight—life goes on. We take the Ls with grace and a lot of sweets.”
