Rocking the stage in Osaka, Bruno Mars “oppa” made his mark at the 2024 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), attending the prestigious South Korean music ceremony for the very first time.

Joined by BLACKPINK’s Rosé, the duo delivered a live performance of their viral mega hit track “APT.” for the first time ever in cute, matching oversized suits.

Their collaboration earned them the “Global Sensation award,” marking the Filipino American hitmaker’s first MAMA trophy and a significant milestone in his entry into the K-pop world.

Leading up to the event, Mnet had announced that the pair would perform their chart-topping track live, an exclusive debut that set the stage for an unforgettable night.

During the award presentation, the BLACKPINK member shared her excitement, stating, “The song began with the drinking game I like the most, and I never expected it to be loved this much.”

The “Lazy Song” Grammy-award winning singer, in his typical charismatic style, expressed his gratitude with a heartfelt “Gamsahamnida!” – thank you in Korean – and shared a fun post on Instagram.

“[Rosé] F#cked around and turned me into a lil K-Pop Juggernaut! Thank you @mnet_mama for my first MAMA award and thank you Rosie for letting me be your plus one last night,” he wrote, adding a playful “Kissy face kissy face!”

The idol commented, “my lil kpop juggernaut,” with Mnet themselves writing, “Thanks!! Bruno Mars.”

Prior to this, Mars’ collaboration with Rosé had already reached the top of Mnet’s M Countdown, a Korean music show, further proving his seamless integration into the K-pop scene with his first Korean-music show win or trophy.

This first MAMA win marks just the beginning of his exciting journey as a K-pop “oppa,” or for him, “lil K-pop Juggernaut,” bringing a fresh twist to his already legendary music career.
