LOS ANGELES – President-elect Donald Trump announced Monday he would declare a national emergency and use military resources to fulfill his campaign promise of mass deportation of undocumented immigrants living in the United States.

In a recent post on Trump’s social media platform Truth Social, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, wrote, “GOOD NEWS: Reports are the incoming @RealDonaldTrump administration prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program.”

On Monday, Trump responded, “TRUE!!!”

Meanwhile, Trump’s new border czar Tom Homan told FOX news they were already working on the mass deportation plan.

“I’ll be going down to Mar-a-Lago this week to put the final touches on the plan,” he said. “We are going to take the handcuffs off ICE.”

Homan said he plans to double ICE agents in sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with the administration.

“I wish they (sanctuary cities) would sit down and talk with to help, but if they don’t help, get the hell out of the way because we are going to do this job with or without you,” said Homan.

In response, immigrant advocates are gearing up for a legal fight.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has filed a lawsuit against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to get more information about how the agency plans to carry out mass deportation plans.

“We are crystal clear that the next Trump administration will do everything in its power to make mass deportation raids a reality,” ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero said in a Nov. 18 press release.

“As we ready litigation and create firewalls for freedom across blue states, we must also sound the alarm that what’s on the horizon will change the very nature of American life for tens of millions of Americans.

President-elect Trump will soon have the full power of the U.S. government machinery at his disposal to target and displace immigrants at a scale our nation has never experienced.”
