TJ Monterde, KZ Tandingan to serenade fans in Canada

2024 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for Filipino singer-songwriter TJ Monterde, as he prepares to serenade fans in Canada this October and November.
Fresh off the success of a two-day sold-out concert in the Philippines, Monterde is bringing his music to an international audience.
His upcoming tour will kick off on Oct. 25 at Circle Drive Alliance in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, followed by a show on Nov. 1 at Petrus Hall in Winnipeg, Manitoba and concluding on Nov. 2 at The Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts.

Titled after one of his 2024 hit songs, “Sariling Mundo,” the Canada shows will see him joined on stage by his wife, singer-songwriter and hitmaker KZ Tandingan. The couple recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.
Their musical collaboration continues to thrive, especially with their duet of Monterde’s song “Palagi” becoming a fan favorite. The track has amassed over 18 million streams on Spotify, making it Monterde’s second most-streamed song.
His biggest hit, the original version of “Palagi,” remains at the top with over 140 million streams, contributing to his impressive 6.8 million monthly listeners on the platform.
The “Tulad Mo” hitmaker’s tour comes at a time when he is riding a wave of success this year, but it’s not just him who’s making headlines. Tandingan, known for her powerhouse vocals and emotional depth, has recently released her latest single, “Toyo.”
The song from the “Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako” artist delves into the complexity of love relapse, touching on the confusion and denial one experiences when an old flame resurfaces.
As a self-penned and self-produced track, “Toyo” marks the “X Factor Philippines” grand winner’s return to recording, offering a deeply personal look into her artistry as Asia’s Soul Supreme.
