10 most searched beach getaways in Asia: 2 are in the Philippines
The salty air, the sand beneath your feet and the ocean breeze can create a sense of peace. The beach is calling, and you must go.
In celebration of International Beach Day earlier this month, the online travel platform Agoda dropped their list of the most searched beach destinations in Southeast Asia.
Two of the Philippines’ most popular tourist spots, Boracay and Cebu, landed on this list, with rankings based on Agoda’s search data for September and October.
Boracay clinched the 9th spot, followed by Cebu at No. 10.
Recently named the best white sand beach in the world for 2024, White Beach has made Boracay a top travel destination for beach lovers.
Panagsama Beach in Moalboal, Cebu, has landed on Condé Nast Traveler’s list of the best beaches in Southeast Asia.
“Rankings showcase a diverse array of beach destinations that cater to various preferences, from serene retreats to vibrant beach parties,” Agoda stated in a press release.
Agoda’s Senior Vice President of Supply Andrew Smith added, “With the monsoon season drawing to a close in many parts of Asia, travelers are eagerly anticipating the sun, sand and sea. Asia boasts some of the world’s most stunning beaches.”
