Joshua Garcia voices ‘Inside Out 2’ character in Tagalog dub

“Joy is in control in my emotional HQ rn,” Filipino actor Joshua Garcia shared on Instagram, along with behind-the-scenes photos from the recording studio, where he voiced the character Lance Slashblade in the Tagalog dub of “Inside Out 2” on Disney+.
For those who don’t know, Lance Slashblade is a video game character introduced in the 2024 sequel to the popular 2015 animated film. The character is part of Riley’s memory vault, where he becomes a figure of fascination for the core emotions.
Originally voiced by YouTuber and voice actor Yong Yea in the English version, the “Un/Happy for You” star brings this anime-inspired hero to life in the Tagalog version.

What makes this announcement even more significant is that “Inside Out 2” will be the first Disney film on the platform to feature a Filipino dub.
This milestone represents a growing recognition of Filipino audiences, adding a new level of representation in major animated films.
