Taylor Swift honors Team USA in Olympics promo video
The 2024 Paris Olympics fever has reached Taylor Swift and she’s cheering on Team USA.
The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter showed her support for the US delegation in a promotional video for the Olympic Games, spotlighting three standout athletes: Simone Biles for women’s artistic gymnastics, Sha’Carri Richardson for track and field and Katie Ledecky for swimming.
Released on Aug. 3, the video begins with a quote from Coco Chanel: “Every day is a fashion show and the world is your runway,” leading into scenes of Biles at the vault, Richardson striding confidently across a field and Ledecky powering through a swimming pool.
Swift’s narration, set against the backdrop of her 2015 hit “Style,” encourages viewers to “never be afraid to show them who you are, especially when the whole world is watching.” Her message underscores the diverse ways greatness can manifest and highlights each athlete’s unique contributions.
As the video progresses, Swift’s line “We never go out of style” reinforces her theme of embracing one’s individual style. The video captures moments of triumph, including Biles proudly displaying her sparkling goat necklace, as she should, as she recently bagged her third gold medal in the individual vault final, bringing her total to seven Olympic golds.
NBC Olympics shared the video on X (formerly Twitter), tagging Swift and captioning it: “Never be afraid to show them who you are … especially when the whole world is watching. #ParisOlympics.”

A fan commented, “How lucky are we to live at the same time as Taylor Swift and Simone Biles,” which garnered nearly five thousand likes.
In addition to Biles, Ledecky earned her ninth gold medal in the women’s 800-meter freestyle and Richardson took silver in the women’s 100-meter final.
As NBC Olympics aptly put it, “Katie. Sha’Carri. Simone. They’ll never go out of style.”
