“Pinoy Festival: Panahon na para Magsaya” is organized by the Pinoy Festival Alliance and the Mabuhay House Society, the organization working with the provincial government to build the Filipino cultural center in cooperation with more than 70 local Filipino Canadian organizations

A “Pinoy Festival” preview was held last week at Burnaby Civic Square in Burnaby, BC, featuring a grand Santacruzan and mini-cultural performances.

The Santacruzan, highlighting Filipino heritage and faith, featured beautifully adorned sagalas (muses) and consorts.

The “Pinoy Festival” is more than just a celebration. It showcases the rich Filipino heritage, fostering unity and pride among the Filipino Canadian community, organizers said.

The event is free and open to the public. Visit pinoyfestival.ca for more info.
