But this marks just one of Jo Koy’s successful ventures on Netflix. “Live from Brooklyn” stands as his fifth special for the platform, following the uproarious footsteps of “Live from the Los Angeles Forum” in 2022, “Comin’ in Hot” in 2019, “Live from Seattle” in 2017 and the acclaimed “In His Elements” in 2020.
A few days ago and in a spur-of-the-moment celebration for his 53rd birthday, Jo Koy surprised fans with a last-minute invitation for a meet-and-greet at the Filipino American beverage and dessert spot, Cafe 86 in Artesia, California.
