Tomorrow X Together performs ‘Deja Vu’ at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’
Kelly Clarkson dubbed K-pop powerhouse Tomorrow X Together (TXT) as “one of the biggest K-pop groups on the planet” during their introduction on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
On April 3, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Choi Soo-bin, Huening Kai and Taehyun commanded the stage, delivering a show-stopping performance of their latest smash hit, “Deja Vu.”
The American idol shared a personal anecdote, revealing, “My niece actually introduced me to this group,” and continued introducing the quintet from Big Hit Music through some of their recent achievements. “They have earned a ton of international recognition, winning at the MTV Video Music Awards and being nominated for an American Music and People’s Choice Award.”
This wasn’t TXT’s debut appearance on the American talk show as they previously graced the stage two years ago, performing their hit track “Good Boy Gone Bad” in May 2022.
Their latest piece is a track from their sixth mini-album “Minisode 3: Tomorrow,” released on April 1. Cementing their moniker as global music icons, TXT soared to success, selling an impressive 1.34 million copies in South Korea within its first four days, according to Hanteo Chart.
For those uninitiated, “Deja Vu” blends elements of trap, rage and emo rock, which talks about being in a state of “deja vu” or serendipitous encounters.
Upon release, “Minisode 3: Tomorrow” made waves globally, debuting at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom. Additionally, the album quickly climbed the ranks, securing spots in the top 10 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in over 17 countries and regions.
Amid heightened anticipation, TXT also announced before their album dropped the highly anticipated 2024 US tour. The tour will kick off at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA on May 15, with stops planned in Oakland, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York and Rosemont.
