The question was warmly received by her supporters in the comment section where the responses were overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their eagerness to witness her transition to the kickboxing circuit.
The Fil-Am athlete, who hails from Palos Verdes in California, recently triumphed at ONE Fight Night 20, marking a milestone in her career as she showcased her skills with a decisive victory over “The Italian Queen” Martine Michieletto.
With an impressive record of 6-1 under the ONE Championship banner, Buntan is now eyeing her next move, which could potentially include a shot at the strawweight Muay Thai title.
However, she seems to have other plans brewing. After dedicating much of 2023 to honing her skills, the Boxing Works standout expressed her interest in transitioning to kickboxing, signaling that this could be the year for her to make the move.
The whole post read, “That’s 3 in a row now. I’ve always expressed my interest to get into the Kickboxing circuit and I feel like this is the year to do so.”
“Ummm yes please,” one user expressed her agreement with the other one saying they have been waiting for it to happen, so “let’s go.”
As she continues to explore new opportunities and challenges, Buntan remains focused on pushing the boundaries of her abilities and leaving a lasting impact on the world of martial arts as a Filipino American.
